Social Life

I finally have a social life here on Guam. It's about time! But was there ever really any doubt that I would get one? No, I tend to find a social life whether I'm looking for one or not. Sorta a curse and a blessing.

This weekend Brooke and I hung out at her pool and then went to a BBQ at Gab Gab Beach. Gab Gab is the beach located on the Navy Base. The BBQ was thrown by a friend of Brooke’s; Bob is a Master Chief and a really great guy. The food was great; we had ribs, hamburgers, chicken, lumpia, salad, and so much more. I ate way too much and paid for it later in the evening.

Then later that same day I met a friend at the Outrigger for some drinks and fantastic conversation. My friend is a Master Chief from mainland Japan and he invited one of his other friends to join us. It was a fun filled weekend. I barely had time to be domestic and clean my house. Of course we did make time to go to Maneska’s for the Sunday pot luck. The best cake maker EVER is Ben. He made the most outstanding Coconut Cake!
