Over the past few months, people like me have been called scared, sheep, oppressors, and on a few occasions unpatriotic. Why? Because the current administration didn’t believe in wearing masks.
Enough. Do not ever question my loyalties.
I’ve taken two oaths in my life...both to support and defend the Constitution of The United States. My loyalty is to my country & its citizens. I pray I always do what’s right, instead of what’s easy.
I didn’t raise my right hand and swear my oath to go against it now. I may not wear the uniform anymore but I still serve my country. I put the Nation’s needs ahead of my own.
I wear a mask and isolate myself, not because I want to or just because the CDC recommends it. Is it inconvenient? Yes but I choose to do this to protect my fellow citizens.
It’s about my conscience and doing what I believe to be right. I couldn’t forgive myself if my actions caused someone else to become ill or worse.
Do not call me a sheep or question my patriotism.
