Wacky Weekend

I had a really great holiday weekend. Technically, it wasn't a holiday for me but I enjoyed it anyway. Thursday, I went to a BBQ (fiesta style) for a bunch of Marines that were on island. Great food!! Friday was nice and relaxing; which is the norm for me. I don't go out very often.

Saturday I had a wedding reception to attend at the Westin. My friend Verity and I decided to be each others dates; she wasn't about to bring her husband and four kids along. That is a just a fight/nightmare waiting to happen. After a huge and fabulous buffet style dinner, we watched the dancing, and listened to the music. She grabbed my camera and said "cheese". I grabbed the chopsticks without thinking about it and well………scroll down to see the picture. Then our coworker took the camera and took a picture of the two of us.

Sunday, I hung out at my house for bit and then went for the mani and pedi (girl thing). Brooke and I chatted; we were both starving and wanted to go to Sharky's (now Sunset Grill). We didn't want to get dressed up and decided that tonight should be pajama night. Yes, we went out into public in our pajamas and it's right on the water. Needless to say we got a bunch of looks at first. However, the owner loved it and now wants to do something like that once a month. Go figure that the dork would set a trend! We didn't go in our lingerie, we went in loungewear; Old Navy style.

Monday, my roomies and I went to Denny's for breakfast. Don't go rolling your eyes; it's actually pretty good here. I gorged on the All American breakfast and had biscuits & gravy; then it was off to Brooke's for our weekly sunbathing date. She has a pool at her house and until she leaves in May, I'm going to be there weekly to keep up on my tan. I know it isn't really a tan and just my freckles blending together; but hey if it looks like a tan, it is a tan!

Thats how we roll on Guam:) I know I can't get away with saying that but it's true. It's all about eating, drinking, relaxing, and being comfortable.
