One of the things people always talk about is the traffic. If you live near a major city, then you understand this; especially if you have ever spent time on the 405 (aka the Parking Lot)Earlier this week my manager was giving me a ride home and low and behold we hit DC traffic. I'm such a geek, I always have my camera on me and had to take some pictures.
If you look closely (click on the picture), you can see the long line of cars; it stretched past the Bridge, Pentagon and Seminary Rd (my exit). It took us forever to get to the HOV lane and bypass that traffic. What is normally a 20 minute ride home took over an hour.
I would have been better off taking the buses and metro that day!
And people wonder why I don't have a car and drive around here; HECK NO!! For now that is.
Update: I broke down in June 2009 and bought a car. Now I get to do this too.
