Touring DC with Jezzica

My friend and colleague from Guam (Jezzica) was here for a few days. We only had one day to run around the city but we made the most of it.

As it turned out, her hotel was only a mile or two from my place. After picking her up, we went straight to the Memorials. Ok, we went there after trying to find parking and we saw a motorcade go flying through the intersection towards the White House!! So exciting.

We wondered around the Memorials (WWII Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and past the Washington Monument). I got some great pics of Jezz (proof she left the hotel!).

Next we went to the White House; after circling once, I dropped Jezz off and went to find parking. After 10 minutes of waiting for an attendant, I gave up; went back and picked her up. Then we drove through DC going to China Town, Eastern Market, Georgetown (she saw the famous Georgetown Cupcake shop), and headed back to my place.

As soon as Jezz told me she was coming to DC, I made reservations. Dinner was at my favorite place in Old Town Alexandria. Casablanca!!!! Moroccan food baby! Jezz loved it.

We had such a nice day wondering around, playing catch up, and eating of course!
