A friend of mine had tickets for a concert and invited me. She said "Sugarland is opening for Keith Urban" to which I said "I'm there!"
We went into DC last night, parked at an extremely expensive but fantastic location. We then walked up to Chinatown; went to dinner at Fuddruckers or Crudfuckers (as I used to call it) and then crossed the street to the side entrance of the Verizon Center.
The concert was amazing! Jennifer Nettles has a very powerful voice and sounds just as good in concert as she does on CD. She didn't sing "Stay" but I didn't care. I love their music.
Keith Urban was the headliner and boy did he put on a show. It was power packed and he rocked the audience. He sang "Raining on Sunday" and my knees went weak. That is one of my favorite songs.
Women were going crazy, men were dancing, and there was even a sign that read "Lesbians Love Keith Too!!". It was great! All in all, this is what I came back to the states for.
